We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Boilermaker / Welder to join our Darwin team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding using MIG, TIG and Stick processes
- Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, copper nickel, aluminium and exotic materials
- Carry out deck repairs and replacements
- Install watertight doors and hatches
- Fabricate and repair pipes, tanks and marine components
- Ensure all welds meet strict quality standards and classification society requirements
- Follow all safe work practices and site safety procedures
- Contribute to a positive, productive and safety-focused team environment
- Work both independently and collaboratively across varied marine projects
About You:
- Minimum 6 years’ experience as a Boilermaker / Fabricator (marine or shipyard experience highly desirable)
- Strong fabrication and structural welding capability
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Demonstrated experience in aluminium welding using TIG and MIG
- Strong teamwork skills and commitment to safety culture
- Excellent communication skills
- White Card and valid Driver’s Licence (essential)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Clearance for a Defence Common Access Card (DCA
