Downer’s Energy & Utilities business is seeking experienced Tested Welders to join our team in Gladstone, QLD. In this site-based role, you will work on structural and piping repairs, precision welding, and shutdown maintenance, ensuring work is completed safely, effectively, and to the required standard.
ABOUT YOU
Trade Qualified: Certificate III Engineering – Fabrication or equivalent.
Technically Proficient: Skilled in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding, with the ability to pass Magnetic Particle (ME) and Ultrasonic (UE) examinations. Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy welding. (Must pass weld tests in both Dual shield and Inner shield FCAW, MMAW in 3G / 4G positions).
Site Qualifications: Mandatory - Hold full working rights in Australia, White Card and willingness to undertake a 3-site Medipass. Preferred – HR Driver’s Licence, Working at Heights (within 2 years validity). Forklift / EWP tickets.
Team Oriented: Ability to work effectively within a team, with strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and quality.
