Job Description

As an Autism Friendly Consultant, you’ll work as part of a collaborative team of Autistic and non-autistic staff delivering autism-friendly consultancy projects across a range of industries including travel, leisure, events, retail and community spaces.

You will:

  • Lead and support autism-friendly consultancy projects
  • Conduct environmental assessments and walkthroughs
  • Write clear, practical assessment reports and implementation plans
  • Deliver training and support resource development including sensory maps and visual stories
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Coordinate meetings, timelines and project communication
  • Support autism-friendly events and initiatives
  • Travel interstate as required

This is a 6-month fixed term contract ending 22nd December 2026. The annual salary for this role is pro-rated to $36,686 inclusive of superannuation, based on working 2 days per week (Monday and Tuesday). This is a community/home based role with an option to work from our Melbourne office.

  • Experience managing complex projects and stakeholder relationships
  • Strong written communication and report writing skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Understanding of contemporary autism inclusion practices
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel interstate
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience
