My client is a leading Australian investment manager with global reach and an exceptional reputation. Due to internal promotion the opportunity exists to join a high performing and collaborative team as a Research Analyst.

This position is critical in providing support to institutional investor relations to prospective investors and consultants with relation to funds and strategy.

As a member of the Strategic Research and Analytics team, the Analyst will provide investment reporting and analysis to support the proposals of funds and strategies.

Responsibilities or duties

• Assist in the preparation of quarterly market reports and insights for regular client engagement.
• Work with the investor relations team to help manage proposals, responses to RFPs, due diligence questions and marketing materials.
• Assist with the coordination of projects and new initiatives while demonstrating strong project management practices.
• Maintain and use strategic portfolio models, including interacting with asset operating models and asset managers for the relevant data.
• Manage quarterly updates for the Client Portfolio Reviews.

Qualifications or requirements

• Relevant qualifications in either Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, with a further qualification highly desired.
• Research capabilities, including data gathering, analysis and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience needed

• 2 plus years' experience in an investment/funds management environment.
• Demonstrated previous experience in investment management or a similar environment with an understanding of infrastructure is desirable.
