About Our School

St Joseph's School, Bardon is a Catholic co-educational primary school, with an enrolment of over 360 students. Founded in 1938 by the Franciscan Sisters, our school permeates the values of Humility, Care, Respect as our motto is lived authentically. As part of the Jubilee Parish, we are located only 8 kms from the CBD in the leafy suburb of Bardon.

Position title: Assistant Principal Religious Education

Work hours: Full-time

Salary: $149,763 - $157,120 + super

Status:This is a substantive 5 year appointment as Assistant Principal (with a further 5 years offer subject to a positive review), with an underlying continuing teaching status.

• Experience in teaching, and leading the teaching of, religious education.

• Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
• For this position you are required to be Catholic (or a faith partner of one of our ecumenical schools).

• Experience as an Assistant Principal, Assistant Principal Religious Education, Deputy Principal, Head of Campus or Principal, or a senior role providing support and leadership to Catholic schools, or equivalent experience
• Experience in teaching, and leading the teaching of, religious education.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a school community effectively, including experience in strategic planning, staff development, and fostering a positive school culture.
• Proven commitment to promoting and integrating Catholic values and teachings within the school environment, including the ability to lead faith-based initiatives and support the spiritual development of students and staff.
• Extensive experience in educational leadership, including a strong track record of implementing innovative teaching practices, curriculum development, and improving student outcomes in accordance with AITSL standards.
