An opportunity has presented itself for an Analytics Engineer who can translate complex data into reliable, scalable models that power reporting and insights.
Responsibilities or duties
Joining the Business Reporting and Analytics team, you will deliver high-quality, analytics-ready data models that support operational and strategic decision-making across the business.
Reporting to the Manager, Business Reporting & Analytics, you will:
- Design and build fit-for-purpose analytical data models for reporting and self-service analytics.
- Partner with Data Engineers to source, validate, and transform curated enterprise data.
- Translate business rules into structured, scalable data models using SQL and best practices.
- Support Power BI semantic model development and ensure consistency of metrics, KPIs, and calculations.
- Deliver end-to-end data analytics solutions from requirements through to deployment and optimisation.
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to enable trusted, insight-driven decision-making
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Analytics field
Experience needed
3+ years in Analytics Engineering or Data Engineering roles
Strong SQL and Python skills for data transformation and modelling
Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms (e.g. Databricks, Azure SQL or similar)
Familiarity with ITIL Service Delivery frameworks
Experience in transport, logistics, engineering, or utilities industries (desirable)
