$42.90 p/hr + Super flat rate

The Role: 4 on 4 off Forklift / Machine Operator

As a key member of the Manufacturing Team, the Machine & Forklift Operator’s primary purpose is to manufacture product in accordance with specification in a safe and timely manner.

Every shift starts with a 15 minute start up meeting to set out your daily activities.

Your main duties will involve:

Forklift Operating:

• Forklift pre-start checklist daily
• Operating 8 Tonne forklifts
• Loading and unloading B-Doubles, Semi trailers, Interstate and linehaul trucks
• Loading of oversized goods on up to 6 metre long pallets
• Unloading off machinery and moving product to necessary location
• Putting stock away and moving stock around using the forklift
• Placing gluts onto packs to assist in the loading
• Splitting packs
• Sorting through damaged stocks

Machine Operation:

• Monitoring the flow of products into machines, and adjusting valves and controls to specifications
• Operating concrete mixing, stacking and splitting machines
• Setting up and installing moulds and other machine fixtures
• Collecting and examining samples for conformity to specifications and adjusting machine settings accordingly
• Setting grinding and cutting edges
• Carry out work in a safe manner, in accordance with Safety procedures as applicable
• Ensure process efficiencies are achieved and maintained
• Ensure production is in line with the specified production schedule
• Ensure product quality is in accordance with relevant specification

Shift Available:

4 on 4 off:

2 days working 6am to 6pm then,

2 days working 6pm to 6am

7 day working roster (must be availble to work weekends)

The Candidate:

To be successful in obtaining this role you will have the following experience:

• 8 Tonne forklift Operation
• Industrial Manufacturing Machine operating experience
• Loading and unloading B-doubles, Semi trailers and line haul
• Wrapping and strapping of products and oversized pallets
• Setting up and maintaining manufacturing machinery
• QA and quality checks / lab testing experience is highly advantageous
• Previously having worked in a Night shift / rotating shift pattern position
• Previously worked in roles where manual handling up to 20kg products was involved
• Previously worked in roles with Timber or cement products in highly advantageous
